Grewia tilifolia (Dhaman)


Family : Tiliaceae (Falsa family).

It is a moderate sized tree, attaining a height of about 30 feet. It’s leaves are asymmetrical at base and acuminate. The leaf margin has blunt teeth (crenate). The flowers are small and yellow and orange. Leaves, barks and fruit have been used in Ayurvedic medicine. Currently research is still being done. The fruit is enjoyed by children.
