Common name is Sonki in Marathi, or Graham’s groundsel. It is a gregarious plant of the western ghats and is seen all over the countryside during the months of August to October. It is an annual herb growing between 30 to 100 cm in height. Some hill slopes of Matheran look very beautiful. The picture below was taken on the path to Panorama point, before it was paver blocked and lined with an ugly railing.
