Common name is Assam Leaf flower. Bhoma in Marathi. A small tree with drooping branches. Leaves are 8-14 cm long, alternate, elliptic and lance shaped. Male flowers are small, yellowish with a slender stalk, female flowers are stalkless. Fruit is globular in the shape of a ribbed capsule or a round button. Flowering from October – December. Saw one at Alexander point and another on the road to Garbut point.
