Common name is Bombay Atalantia, makad limbu in Marathi. It is a small evergreen tree with sharp spines. Leaves are elliptic, 5-10 cm long and rounded at the tip. White flowers arise in racemes in leaf axis. Flowers are 1 cm across, faintly fragrant, with 4 sepals. Fruit is round like a limbu, 2 cm across and dark green. Flowering is in November, spotted the fruit on path to Panorama point in first week of March.
